Urgent Rental Need!!!

I'm sure many of you heard about the house fire in Parker last Sunday. The owner is my best friend.  They desperately need to find a rental for 3-4 months. They would like to stay close to Canterberry Crossing in Parker. They have 1 dog & need at least 3 bedrooms. If anyone has a home for rent, please let me know. This is a very difficult time for them & with the holidays approaching, they really need to find a rental as soon as possible.

 

Our office is also adopting their family for Christmas this year.  They lost 90% of their clothes in the fire.  They have 4 boys.  I think clothes or gift cards are best but they could also use school supplies, toiletries, books, arts & crafts, toys, games, maybe some blue ray kids movies (they had ordered a blue ray player for Christmas on Black Friday).

6 yr old boy – size 7/8

9 yr old boy – size 10/12

17 yr old boy – pants 32 x 30, shirts men’s large

Mom – pants 4 or 6, shirts medium

I'm writing to you to ask for your support in a very special cause for my nephew (and little buddy) Landon.

 

This year, I'll be taking part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes along with a half-million other walkers across the country. Our goal: To raise $90 million to help fund research for a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications…and my personal goal is to raise $200.

 

Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating, often deadly disease that affects millions of people--a large and growing percentage of them children. 

 

Many people think type 1 diabetes can be controlled by insulin. While insulin does keep people with type 1 diabetes alive, it is NOT a cure. Aside from the daily challenges of living with type 1 diabetes, there are many severe, often fatal, complications caused by the disease.

 

That's the bad news... and yes, it's pretty bad.

 

The good news, though, is that JDRF is making steady progress toward a cure. In fact, JDRF funding and leadership is associated with most major scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date. And JDRF funds more type 1 research than any other charity worldwide.

 

I'm writing to ask for your support because now more than ever, EACH of us can be a part of bringing about a cure. Each of us can make a real difference
